Update: Woman, 26, killed in Terrace Park multi-vehicle wreck
TAMPA, FL – On Monday night, officials confirmed that it was a 26-year-old woman named Paige Howard who died in the multi-vehicle crash in Terrace Park Friday.
New details from ABC Action News indicated that Howard was pursuing a left turn at the intersection of E. Bougainvillea Avenue and McKinley Drive when her Kia Sorento was hit by the driver of a Dodge Ram.
Police said that Howard was turning from E. Bougainvillea and on her way to drop off two out of her four children to daycare.
After Howard’s Kia and the Dodge Ram slammed into each other, the driver of a third vehicle, a man, tried to avoid the initial collision by swerving before crashing into a wooded area. Sometime later, the motorist of a fourth vehicle, a woman, was struck by debris.
Paramedics rushed the Dodge Ram driver, the Ram passenger, and the driver of the third vehicle to a hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening wounds.
The fourth driver escaped injuries, and Howard succumbed to fatal injuries at the scene.
Police officers have not disclosed the events leading up to this wreck, including which driver was at fault.
