USPS box truck fatally hits 15-year-old girl on bike in Cape Coral
CAPE CORAL, FL – A 15-year-old girl riding her bicycle was struck by a United States Postal Service box truck, leading to her death Wednesday.
The Cape Coral Police Department told WINK News that this collision happened along the Santa Barbara Boulevard and Mid Cape Terrace intersection.
The girl, a Mariner High School Student, was cycling to her house coming from her summer job at SunSplash when the crash occurred.
Officers are continuing to investigate the circumstances behind this collision and have not confirmed if the truck driver will face charges.
