Van vs. car crash in Port Orange claims 1 life, injures another
PORT ORANGE, FL – A 47-year-old man driving a Ford Transit man drifted off eastbound Nova Road and into the westbound lanes, colliding head-on with a car, leading to the other driver’s death.
This head-on crash happened around 6:30 p.m. Tuesday near Story Bend Road, according to Click Orlando. Once the vehicles collided, the van overturned. After arriving, EMS crews took the 47-year-old man from Deltona and the other driver, a 28-year-old man from Haines City, to a hospital. There, the 28-year-old man died while the surviving occupant was being treated for serious injuries.
Florida Highway Patrol started an investigation and has not confirmed the contributing factors behind this crash.
