Woman, 21, fatally hit by 2 vehicles on I-95 in Jacksonville
JACKSONVILLE, FL – A 21-year-old woman was standing outside her disabled vehicle on I-95 when she was hit by two other vehicles Sunday, leading to her death.
This collision happened before 5 a.m. on the center lanes near mile marker 332, according to First Coast News. A Florida Highway Patrol report indicated she was standing on the “left, yellow painted edge line,” and her car was blocking a “left lane” and some middle lanes. The drivers of the SUV and pickup truck tried to avoid hitting the woman’s car and ended up striking her.
The unidentified woman succumbed to fatal wounds at the scene. Authorities shut down the lanes for several hours and reopened them all around 9:30 a.m.
