Woman, 62, killed in Ellenton head-on crash along Manatee River
ELLENTON, FL – A 62-year-old woman was left dead and six people were injured after a head-on collision at an intersection along Manatee River Saturday.
The crash happened after 4:30 p.m. at the U.S. 301 and 51st Avenue East intersection, according to SNNTV. The 62-year-old woman – Helen Gail Miller – was driving west on U.S. 301. At the same time, the driver and his or her five passengers were traveling south on 51st Avenue.
Simultaneously, both motorists came into the intersection, colliding head-on.
Miller was taken to Manatee Memorial Hospital where she died.
