Woman, 75, put in critical condition after Clearwater hit-and-run

CLEARWATER, FL – An ambulance took a 75-year-old woman to a hospital where she is listed in critical condition after she was hit by a driver who fled the scene Tuesday.

WFLA said the SUV driver collided with the woman along Rumba Island Bar & Grill, which is at 1800 Gulf-to-Bay Boulevard. Authorities said she was walking at the time of the crash.

Officials started an investigation but have not provided a description of the suspect or vehicle at this time.
