Woman fatally hit by cars, including one hit-and-run in Jacksonville
JACKSONVILLE, FL – A woman in her 30s lost her life after she was hit by multiple vehicles, one of which fled the scene while walking on Soutel Drive Monday.
Action News Jax was this collision that happened before 8:45 p.m. When the woman was hit by the first vehicle, the impact threw her into an outside lane. Then, immediately after, the hit-and-run suspect, who was said to have driven a white, four-door car, collided with her before taking off in the northbound direction of Soutel.
The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office confirmed that the other drivers stayed at the scene and showed no signs of intoxication. They launched an investigation and have not revealed other details at this time.
